Even in these tough times, our mission continues
UPDATE ON THE COVID-19 SITUATION:
In these critical times, Mission Housing feels the need to inform our communities and partners that even though our physical offices are currently closed, our operations — and more importantly our mission — continue.
We responded to the “Shelter-in-Place” order and requested our team to work remotely to ensure the safety of their health, but most importantly, the ability to support our operations. We are blessed to have a team that cares deeply for the work we do and loves the communities we all serve. For the past two weeks, we have been busy ensuring the safety of our residents by working very closely with our Property Management teams.
Our Resident Services responded by distributing our “Wash your Hands” campaign in multiple languages to educate our communities of the importance to take critical measures to avoid getting sick.
Following that, we created a page on MissionHousing.org with multiple tools that our residents and the community-at-large can benefit from. This page is updated frequently to ensure our residents have the most up-to-date information. You can access the page by visiting http://bit.ly/MHDC-Response.
We continued to work on the “Shelter-in-Place” Resources Guide to distribute to all of our residents for easy access to critical information that is important for them to have in multiple languages.
In the coming weeks, the Services team will engage residents in a telephone campaign to stay connected and provide them with up-to-date information and clarify any questions they have in regards to the current Shelter-in-Place order.
More importantly, Mission Housing wants residents to feel supported and know that we are just an e-mail or phone call away. With that in mind, we created an e-mail that our residents can use to contact us. Residents should reach to out to MHDCResponse@MissionHousing.org or contact property management on site. Our main office number is still active! We are committed to responding to all messages left there.
We have implemented protocols to secure the well-being of our residents through our Asset Management team. They have reached out to every single commercial tenant to express our support and to assure them that we are all in this together.
Our Housing Development Department continues pushing forward with our housing projects, and rehabs — working closely with the Services Team and our residents to secure everyone’s well being.
COVID-19 is a challenge we are all dealing with, however we believe that this is the time to stay calm, focused and be resilient.
¡Unidos podremos salir adelante!
