DUNLEAVY PLAZA
Dunleavy Plaza is an excellent example of how Mission Housing Development Corporation addresses the complex issues created by developing new housing in already established neighborhoods.
By utilizing air-space rights over an adjacent city-owned property, Mission Housing was able to nearly double the number of units it could build at the Dunleavy Plaza site.
Dunleavy was actually built in two stages; the first structure, a 28-unit building, was built on a vacant lot owned by Mission Housing, while the second phase, a 21-unit building, was built over a city-owned parking lot.
